As We Are - Dual Portrait

As We Are A collaborative project between Indira Iofeye and Layla Pizarro. Through a series of dual portraits created from combining self portraits of each of us, urban photo and analogue artworks, we explore the themes of diversity of our emotions and the simultaneously multiple dimensions of our being. We investigate the space that connects the personal or the unique with the universal, combining the portraits to depict a being that is neither one of us and both of us at the same time. We have created over 100 unique pieces and have previously used them as frames for an audio-visual work in the Kill The Robots collaborative project. From those, 33 frames are part of this collection, along with the audio-visual piece.
